We grow a wide range of Pleached trees, all are grown and trained by our dedicated staff. We train the trees on a bamboo cane frame work and sell the trees still attached to the bamboo frame.Trees are sold either on 1.2cm, 1.5cm or 1.8cm stem depending on Variety and normally with 5 horizontal tiers.
Planting
Pleached trees are grown 210cm (7ft) apart in the nursery, we recommend a spacing of 210-240cm (7-8ft) by the customer. We can supply all canes and tying materials for recreating the bamboo framework. (see Sundries).

Evergreen pleached on a 1.2 stem, with 5 tiers 30cm apart.

Ilex koehneana Chestnut Leaf
Vigorous tree forming holly, thick leathery leaves producing berries freely. Pleached on a 1.5stem with 5 tiers 30cm apart.
Height 270cm (8.85 ft).
Prunus laurocerasus
Evergreen pleached on 1.8cm stem 5 tiers, 30cm apart.

Tilia euchlora
One of the best limes for pleaching, light green leaves, vigorous growing. Not affected by aphids so doesn’t get the Honeydew. trained on 1.8 stem , 5 tiers 30cm apart.
