Euonymus alatus Compactus
Dwarf Japanese spindle bush, one of the best small bushes for autumn colour in the garden, easy to grow on any soil. Green foliage in summer turning shades of vibrant reds in autumn, complimented by the orange-pink seed pods.
Ultimate height 1.5m (5ft), spread 2m (6ft).

A native hedgerow shrub, particularly good on chalk soils. Good for wildlife. Leaves small, colouring well in autumn with shades of red along with the claw shaped fruit.
