Gymnocladus dioica (Kentucky Coffee Tree)
Medium sized slow growing tree form North America, young twigs are light grey almost white, especially notable through the winter months. the large compound leaves are pink-tinted when young, then turning green and butter yellow before falling in the autumn. Seeds were used as a substitute by early settlers as a replacement for coffee.
Ultimate height 10 (31ft), spread 8m (25ft).
