Hamamellis are wonderful shrubs for the winter garden,producing spider like flowers in mid-winter, which in many varieties are highly scented. Best planted in groups of 3 or 5 for major effect. They are equally at home in partial shade or full sun. Best on an acid to neutral free draining soil.

A large deciduous shrub of open habit with broadly ovate leaves which turn reddish or yellow in autumn, and fragrant bright yellow flowers to 3cm in width, in late winter. Best on a neutral to acid soil.

Fragrant sulphur yellow scented flowers in January – February. The beautiful, vase shape of this shrub is clothed in bright yellow. Large, green foliage turns to yellow and orange in the autumn, before falling to reveal the arching and spreading form.

Good bright lemon-yellow fragrant flowers.
