Euchryphia x nymansensis ‘Nymansay’
A vigorous, broadly columnar evergreen tree with glossy, dark green leaves, both simple and trifoliate. Producing masses of white scented flowers, 6cm in width, with prominent stamens, in August and September. Columnar when young but spreading with age. Any well drained fertile soil.
Ultimate height 10m (31ft), spread 5m (16ft).
Euchryphia x nymansensis ‘Nymans Silver
Upright shrub with leathery, toothed glaucous green leaves that are edged white. Pretty, sweetly scented, cup-shaped white flowers with conspicuous stamens from July to September. Shelter from strong winter winds. Unusual.
Ultimate height 5m (16ft), spread 2m (6ft).
