Our Fruit Trees

We grow a wide range of varieties Budded onto rootstocks producing trees that will grow to approx 4m (12ft). using the following rootstocks, Apples (MM106), Apricots (Krymsk), Cherries (Colt), Cobnuts, Damsons (St Julian), Figs, Medlars (Crataegus), Mulberries, Peaches (Krymsk), Pears, (Quince A) Plums, (Pixy or St Julian) and Quince.

Our Hedging

We have a good range of hedging in different sizes, weather you want an evergreen hedge or a more natural looking wildlife friendly hedge, We sell a 10 m Native hedge mix and also a New Forest Hedge mix with Holly substituted for one of the items. Most of the hedging is available at different sizes from 30cm up to 240cm, and we trim all our hedging plants on the nursery so they are always nice and bushy.

Our Hedging Troughs

We do a range of instant hedging Troughs in, Hornbeam, Ilex and Osmanthus burkwoodii. The troughs are 100cms x 30cm x 45cm. The height of hedge is between 150cm and 210cm depending on variety.

Our Indigenous trees

We grow a wide range of indigenous trees these are purchased by us as 2-3ft whips and grown on in the nursery to various sizes, we have good sizes of Acers, Birch, wild Cherry, Hornbeam, Oak etc. All of these can be supplied either bare root or rootballed.

Our Ornamental Trees

The bulk of our trees are grown on our own land with a dedicated staff of qualified nursery personnel either from Budding, Cuttings or Grafting and are approx 3-5 yrs old when they are sold, the trees can be purchased as either bare root or root-balled in acrylic squares, some of the tree varieties are always root-balled such as evergreen trees and trees with very fleshy root systems.

We also grow 4-500 trees in containers from 35lt -100lt which are available throughout the year.

Our Pleached Trees

We train a range of trees either as Pleached or as low panels for instant hedging. The pleached trees are on 1.2-1.5 and 1.8 stems normally with 5 tiers 30cms apart with a spread of 180cms. Some of the trees available trained this way are Crataegus, Hornbeam, Ilex, Malus and  Laurel. The low panels are 150cms x 180cms and available in Hornbeam and Laurel.

Orders

It would be greatly appreciated if customers, when ordering would kindly state whether they would like us to send alternatives in the event of any selection being out of stock. Orders are accepted subject to the plants being unsold on receipt of the order. The placing of an order constitutes an acceptance of these terms.

Non Warranty

Whilst every possible care is taken to ensure that all our trees are true to type and variety, we are unable to accept responsibility for damage arising from disease, error, frosts, drought, poor drainage, planting too deep (see planting guide) or other causes beyond our control, once plants have left the nursery. We ask however, to be advised immediately on receipt of plants of any complaint.
