One of our most popular evergreens. Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' is prized for its spectacular crimson-red new growth in spring, maturing to glossy dark green. Excellent as a specimen shrub, informal hedge, or trained as a standard tree. Available in containers and as rootballed specimens.
An elegant, hardy evergreen with dark glossy leaves on distinctive red stems. Portuguese Laurel makes a superb formal hedge or screening plant, and takes clipping well. We stock P. lusitanica 'Angustifolia' (narrow-leaved form) and 'Brenelia', available as bushes, standards, and pleached specimens.
A vigorous, dense evergreen ideal for quick screening and hedging. Large, glossy leaves create a lush, opaque barrier. We grow Cherry Laurel and the popular cultivar 'Novita' in a range of sizes from rootballed hedging stock to specimens up to 200cm. Also available as pleached forms on 1.8m stems.
The classic culinary bay tree — aromatic, elegant, and surprisingly hardy once established. Available as bushes and container-grown standards, Bay Laurel makes a handsome structural plant for formal gardens, patios and kitchen gardens.
A tried-and-tested hedging favourite. We stock L. ovalifolium (Oval-leaved Privet) including the golden form 'Aureum', and L. vulgare (Wild Privet). Available from bare transplants for new hedging to larger rootballed specimens for instant impact. Privet is fast-growing, tolerant of hard pruning, and semi-evergreen to fully evergreen depending on the winter.
Native evergreen holly (I. aquifolium) is one of Britain's finest hedging and specimen plants — dense, prickly, and perfect for security as well as wildlife. We grow I. aquifolium from plug plants to large specimens, plus cultivars including 'J.C. van Tol', 'Golden King', 'Argentea Marginata', I. crenata ('Convexa', 'Green Hedge'), I. koehneana 'Chestnut Leaf', and I. x 'Nellie R. Stevens'. Also available as pleached specimens.
